HGV 1 Driver
Location: Basingstoke
Pay: £18 – £28 per hour | Casual Weekend Cover

 

Best Time Limited is currently recruiting HGV 1 Drivers to provide casual weekend cover for our busy client based in Basingstoke.

As a delivery driver, you will play an important role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of products to our customers. Drivers are often the main point of contact for customers, so professionalism and strong communication are essential.

You will be responsible for ensuring deliveries are completed correctly, reporting any shortages or errors, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with WTD regulations and driver hours
• Complete multi-drop deliveries efficiently and accurately
• Sort and distribute orders correctly
• Follow all loading, checking, and product scanning procedures
• Handle trays/bins correctly and ensure proper storage
• Maintain high standards in line with Health & Safety policies
• Follow company procedures regarding damages and reporting
• Maintain strong driving and productivity standards (Microlise)
• Ensure vehicle and load security at all times
• Maintain good standards of vehicle and workplace housekeeping

Days

Weekend cover (casual shifts)

Additional weekday shifts may occasionally be available

Requirements:

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum 6 penalty points on licence
• No drink or drug driving offences
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred
